Double Butter Melt & Pour Soap

We still make all our own soaps! It leaves the skin soft and a lot of skin issues cleared up for us! It took 3-4 weeks for our skin to clear up & we never turned back!

What you’ll need:

soap mold (I use silicone bakeware I bought in the baking section of Hobby Lobby.)

soap base, you can use any kind. Today I had double butter base on hand so I’m using it.

vitamin e

glycerine

1 tbsp. jojoba oil, olive oil, or sweet almond oil

1-2 tbs. essential oil or soap scent.

squirt bottle with rubbing alcohol in it

food coloring (2 drops will color it.)

Directions:

Cut base into cubes to fill a bowl.

Melt in microwave 30 seconds at a time until it is completely melted.

Add in oil, essential oil, vitamin E, glycerine and mix well with a spoon.

(if you are coloring your soap, add 2 drops now and mix well.)

Pour into mold

spray with alcohol to dissolve bubbles that rise to the surface.

Let sit 3-4 hours until center sets & hardens.

Wrap in Siran Wrap to keep it fresh until use.

I make ALL our soaps with this recipe, I just change oils, soap base, scents, & colors.

The reason it works so well on the skin is because you are putting in all the skin-healthy ingredients many manufacturing companies have mostly removed.

Tips I found helpful:

Hobby Lobby and Michaels both carry soap making products.

Both have apps for 40% coupons

To save more money, my hubby often came with me and checked out with a base with his own app 40% off coupon.

Hobby lobby allows you to use their coupon one DAILY instead of weekly!

If your soap seems to stick (a problem I normally don’t have with silicone) line it with a drop of mineral oil and rub it around the mold.
